No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes.

End of season

empty box 2

With temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, it is too cold to leave the plants, which are not frost-resistant, outside. This empty windowbox therefore marks the end of this year’s balcony season and will be overwintered in the basement. The plants sensitive to cold will stay with us inside the apartment waiting for the days to get longer and skies to get brighter again.

A handful of potatoes

potatoes_redObviously, you do not need any gloves for small-scale balcony gardening, but sometimes gloves can make your harvest look brighter. These potatoes come from a second pot and they all grew from one potato of the size of the small ones you see in the picture.
