“In seed-time learn, in harvest teach, in winter enjoy!” (William Blake)

There are some days left to simply enjoy what last year’s harvest has gifted us with. But soon enough it is time to plan the gardening season that lies ahead!

Winter does not last forever.

succulent_1While temperatures do not climb above zero degrees Celsius these days and people scrape ice off their cars and bikes, it might need a little reminder that spring is only 43 days away. Don’t misunderstand me, I really like winter for many reasons, but balcony-wise there is not much going on lately. So here’s picture of a blooming succulent I took in Peru last year, which I admire not only for the plant, but also for the colors and the plain sunlight.
