Late November quinces

by balconydresser

In our region, quinces are among the last fruit remaining on the trees to be harvested in late fall – in other words, they are a bright yellow feast for the eye at a time when almost everything else has already turned leafless and brown under a grey sky.

These are not cydonia quinces grown on trees, but chaenomeles growing on shrubs. They are still great for jelly or jam.
